FBI Joins Search for Boy, 11, Missing From Philadelphia Suburb

UPDATE: The boy's body was found in the Darby Creek Wednesday. DETAILS HERE

The FBI has joined the search for a missing boy last seen riding a bicycle with friends in his Philadelphia suburb.

Police in Folcroft say 11-year-old Laquan Lattimore went missing Monday afternoon.

"Quan" was last seen riding his mountain bike, which is spray-painted gold, in the area of King Avenue and Chester Pike around 3 p.m. Monday. He had on a blue and white collared shirt, blue jeans and black sneakers and carried a gray backpack when he went missing, said the FBI.

They say the case is considered suspicious and Quan doesn't have a phone on him.

"He did leave his cellphone at his house," said FBI spokesman JJ Klaver. "... he's never run away before, he's never gone missing before... there's no clear indication of foul play at this point but we are considering every possibility," said FBI spokesman JJ Klaver.

Folcroft is in Delaware County about 8 miles southwest of downtown Philadelphia. He has been known to ride with friends into Southwest Philadelphia in the past, said investigators.

A large team of searchers could be seen canvassing the area where Quan was last seen.

Quan's family offered a $1,500 reward for his safe return.

Police asked anyone who spots the boy to call the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children at 1-800-THE-LOST (800-843-5678).
