Missing 23-Year-Old Found Dead By Family

Two men are charged with desecration of human remains.

One day after a 23-year-old New Jersey man was found dead by family members, two of his friends are being charged in connection with the case.

Andrew Taylor's body was found Saturday morning by his family in Buena Vista Township, New Jersey nearly a week after the last time they saw him.

Randy McDowell, 26, and Kyle Kinsey, 21, are charged with desecration of human remains and obstruction of justice.

Taylor's body was found face down in a mud puddle a few yards off Pancoast Mill Road, which is five minutes from his Atlantic County home.

"Face down. He was in a muddy puddle of water, blood everywhere. Blood was everywhere," the victim's aunt, Deanna Mobley, told NBC10's Monique Braxton.

Police say there were no signs of trauma. An autopsy will be performed to determine how Taylor died. Police speculated that there may have been a "medical event" and that Kinsey and McDowell may have left Taylor.

Kinsey and McDowell were the last people family members saw with Taylor when the three left Taylor's home last Sunday. His mother, Angelic Cruz, reported him missing after he failed to show up for his job at Kirkland's Home Furnishings in Mays Landing on Wednesday.

His family tells NBC10 that Taylor has served time in the past, but that he had been getting his life together ever since.

"He was turning himself around," said Taylor's cousin Ronald Jackson. "He was getting himself back together and for something like this to happen right now is heartbreaking."
