Residents who live near New Jersey's Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst might hear explosions or feel the ground shake over the weekend.

Military units are slated to conduct mortar-firing training at the Fort Dix ranges between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

National Guard units from Westfield, Long Island and New Haven, Conn., and a Marine Corps reserve unit from West Palm Beach, Fla., will participate.
