Men Who Allegedly Killed Friend to Face Death Penalty

Two men charged with stabbing a Pennsylvania woman and burning her alive will face the death penalty if they're found guilty at trial.

Lancaster County prosecutors filed court papers on Tuesday announcing their intention to seek capital punishment against 21-year-old Adam Lynch of Reading and 19-year-old Ryan Schannauer of Wyomissing.

Both are charged with homicide, arson, abuse of a corpse, kidnapping and conspiracy in the death of 23-year-old Ashley Kline of Robesonia, whose body was found by hikers in Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area in Clay Township.

Prosecutors said the two friends picked up Kline from her home Dec. 30 and drove her to the wildlife area, where they beat and stabbed her.

An autopsy concluded she was still alive when she was doused with gasoline and set on fire.
