The big Mega Millions jackpot-winning tickets may have been sold in Georgia and California, but lottery officials say a ticket worth $1 million was sold in Delaware and the winners already claimed their prize.
Lottery officials say a 50-person office pool in New Castle County bought a $1 million ticket at a Shop Rite in Glasgow.
The group’s identities remained a mystery Thursday but it was revealed that they work at the Discover financial services office in Delaware.
Each co-worker would take home $20,000 just before Christmas. None of them wanted to talk about the luck.
Lottery officials also announced Wednesday morning that a second-tier winning ticket was sold at High's on Old Mill Bottom Road in Annapolis. The ticket -- like the one in Delaware -- matches five of the winning numbers, but not the Mega Ball.
In addition to the two $636 million jackpot-winning tickets, Mega Millions officials say there were 20 $1 million winners nationwide.
