Woman on Foot Robs NJ McDonald's Drive-Through

Police say woman grabbed the cash drawer, jumped in an SUV and drove off

For the second time in a week a person on foot robbed a Delaware Valley McDonald’s drive-through.

Like in an incident over the weekend in Delaware, the suspect wasn’t targeting the McRib or a Big Mac but instead wanted cash. This time a woman was allegedly caught on surveillance camera robbing the McDonald’s restaurant on the Black Horse Pike in Turnersville, N.J. Wednesday afternoon.

Washington Township Police say that a little before 3, a woman got out of a blue-colored SUV -- possibly a Toyota Highlander -- reached into the drive-through window and grabbed the cash drawer.

The suspect -- described as a thin white woman standing about 5-foot-4 to 5-foot-6-inches tall who was wearing thick black-rimmed glasses and a red flannel hooded jacket -- then jumped in her SUV and drove off with an unspecified amount of money, police said.

If you recognize the suspect, you should call the Washington Township Police Department Investigative Division at 856-589-0330 or 856-256-1212.
