Turns out you weren't the only one a little steamed over the idea of paying to get your trash picked up in the city.
Mayor Michael Nutter has backed off the idea, according to the Daily News.
First, the city talked about a flat fee of $5 per household.
Seems hardly anyone on the paying side of the fence thought it was a good idea.
The negative backlash sent the city into damage control mode. They tried to tweak the flat fee into a smaller, income-based fee per house. That didn't work either.
So the trash fee idea has been, well, trashed.
