Pennsylvania Junior High Math Teacher, Brother Face Heroin Dealing Charges

An eastern Pennsylvania middle school math teacher found himself out of a job after being arrested — along with his brother — for heroin.

Investigators arrested Dusten Cook, 32, and his brother Bryan after serving a search warrant on a home along Benner Road in Limerick Township, Pennsylvania earlier this month.

Inside the home, police found 407 bags of heroin, packaging materials and an undisclosed amount of cash, said Limerick Township Police.

Dusten Cook serves as a math teacher at Reading Intermediate High School on N 12th Street. On Friday, the district alerted parents about Cook’s arrest saying he was immediately suspected without pay.

“There is no evidence to indicate that he was involved in drug sales at a school,” said police in a Facebook post.

Both Cook brothers posted 10 percent of $5,000 bail last Friday after spending nearly one week in jail. The Cooks are due back in court next month to face drug dealing charges.
