New Jerseyans will mark the anniversary of Superstorm Sandy by holding flashlights.
Townsquare Media, which owns radio station New Jersey 101.5 FM, is organizing the "Light Up New Jersey" event beginning at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Participants who pre-register will receive a flashlight for the event; walkups can bring their own light or buy one for a nominal fee.
The company's radio stations will play New Jersey's new "Stronger Than The Storm" jingle as participants shine their lights.
The Oct. 29, 2012 storm damaged or destroyed about 340,000 homes and businesses in New Jersey.
