A man accused of having let an unlicensed teenager drive a sport utility vehicle that crashed in northeastern Pennsylvania last summer, killing three other teens, has been charged with endangering the welfare of children and involuntary manslaughter.
Fifty-three-year-old Michael Ware of Scarsdale, New York was also charged Wednesday in Wayne County with recklessly endangering another person, giving false information and letting an unauthorized person drive.
Authorities said three Council Rock High School sophomores died after the SUV flipped over Aug. 30 while trying to negotiating a turn in Paupack Township.
Officials said a 15-year-old girl was behind the wheel. Prosecutors said the driver didn't have a license or a permit, and a juvenile criminal petition was also filed.
Ware's attorney didn't immediately return a call seeking comment.
