Police say a 24-year-old man and a woman in her 20's were found in an apartment building suffering from gunshot wounds. They were both pronounced dead at 2:30 p.m. Police believe their deaths were the result of a murder-suicide.
Police are investigating a murder suicide in South Philadelphia. Police say they received a phone call on Wednesday to check on the well-being of a 24-year-old man who did not report to work.
When they knocked on the door of the man’s apartment on the 3600 block of Gateway Drive, there was no response, according to investigators. Police say a maintenance worker then let them inside the apartment. Once inside, they found the man on the floor with a gunshot wound to the right temple, according to investigators. Police also say they found a woman in her 20’s with a gunshot wound in the head. They were both pronounced dead at 2:30 p.m.
Police believe their deaths are the result of a murder-suicide. They continue to investigate.
