A Delaware man used a Samurai sword to defend himself when a dispute over a business transaction turned violent.

Milan Reid, 42, came to the victim's home in Middletown Friday night, threatened him, indicated that he had a weapon and refused to leave, according to police.

When the victim, who is a subcontractor for Reid, ran inside to call the cops and Reid kicked in the door and came after him, police said.

That's when the homeowner grabbed a Samurai sword he had on display in the living room and chased Reid out.

Reid drove off with his wife and two kids – who'd been waiting outside in the car.

When police caught up with them later, police said it was Reid's wife who became "disorderly."

The Reids were both arrested and charged. Their two kids were turned over to a family member.
