A man is in custody after police say he tried to set his neighbor’s home on fire.

It happened Wednesday around 7:30 p.m. on the 2000 block of East Arizona Street in Kensington. Police say a man punched a hole in the wall between his house and his neighbor’s, stuffed a paper towel through it, then set it on fire.

He then allegedly barricaded himself inside his home when police arrived.

Officers were able to later apprehend the suspect. No one was injured in the incident and investigators say the fire caused little damage. The suspect is currently in custody.
