Delaware State Police are searching for a man who they say tried to set over a dozen horses loose from an Ocean View barn.
It happened Sunday, March 18, around 3:30 a.m. at a horse barn on the 30000 block of Track Lane. Police say a man entered the barn then unlocked and opened the stable gates housing around 20 horses. The horses then left the stables but did not leave the barn, according to investigators. The man then allegedly entered a parked vehicle nearby and tried to remove items. Police say he then left the area on a bicycle before the owner of the barn was able to confront him.
The suspect is described as a white male in his early 20’s with a beard. He was last seen wearing jeans, a light-colored sweatshirt and sneakers.
