Man Thrown Out of Bar, Pulls Gun: Cops

Police say the man was thrown out of the Black Pumpkin Bar after bothering a woman and other patrons. He returned and opened fire, police said

Police are searching for the shooter who opened fire early Thursday morning inside the Black Pumpkin Bar on the 600 block of Wyoming Avenue in the Juniata section of Philadelphia.

Authorities say the incident started earlier that night as an argument between a woman and a female bartender.

Around 1:30 a.m. that woman returned to the bar with a man, police said. The bar owner was able to kick the man out of the bar with the help of  some patrons, but the man then pulled a gun from his waistband, police told NBC10.

A 40-year-old man, who was playing pool inside the bar, was shot in the stomach and taken to Temple University Hospital, according to officers. He is in guarded condition.

There were about ten people inside the bar at the time of the shooting. Police are currently questioning witnesses. No arrests have been made.
