Gunman Threatens Trashman, Barricades Himself Inside Home

Philadelphia Police were investigating Thursday an incident that happened around 8:25 a.m. in the Port Richmond section of the city.

A 42-year-old man went outside his home on 3100 Miller Street and allegedly pointed a rifle at a trash man standing near. The man then went back into his house as the trash man remained unharmed.

Police and SWAT quickly arrived at the scene and the man barricaded himself inside his home for about an hour.

The man finally surrendered to police at 9:55 a.m. No one was injured in the incident.

No charges were filed as of 3 p.m. and its unclear what prompted the man to threaten the trash man.
