Man Struck by Vehicle, Rt. 23 Shut Down in Chesco

The striking vehicle did not flee the scene, according to investigators.

A man is in the hospital and Route 23 in East Pikeland Township, Chester County is shut down after a man was struck by a vehicle. It happened around 5:45 p.m. on Route 23 westbound on the 400 block of Schuylkill Road. 

The man was taken to Phoenixville Hospital. Police have not yet revealed his condition. The striking vehicle did not flee the scene, according to investigators. Police are investigating the cause of the accident. Route 23 is shut down in both directions.
