Man Struck, Killed in Shooting Inside Germantown Apartment

Police arrested the suspect in a fatal shooting inside an apartment in the Germantown section of the city Sunday night.

A 52-year-old man was shot once in the right chest and once in the left shoulder inside a first floor apartment on the 100 block of Manheim Street at 9:16 p.m.

The victim was taken to Temple University Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 9:39 p.m. Police say they apprehended the alleged gunman a short time later at Chelten Avenue and Kenyon Street.
