A man is dead after he was struck by a car in Burlington County.
Officials say it happened Saturday shortly before 1 a.m. at the intersection of Route 130 and Tenby Chase Drive in Delran. Thomas Rooney of Delran was struck by a car driven by James Hummel of Willingboro, according to investigators.
Rooney was taken to the Lourdes Medical Center where he later died from his injuries. Police say the incident was not a hit-and-run. No charges have been filed against Hummel.
The accident caused the temporary closure of all lanes on Route 130 North but they have since been reopened. Police continue to investigate the cause of the accident.
