If anyone's gonna give you the benefit of the doubt, count on a nun.
A man walked into the Holy Infancy Church in on East 4th Street in Bethlehem on Sunday. He told a nun his hard-luck story, that he was a married man with 6 kids, having some big money problems.
He asked to see a priest. When the nun left to get help, Bethlehem police say the man made off with the donation bag for Sunday offerings.
Police say don't feel sorry for the guy. They think his hard-luck story was a ruse. Church leaders think he probably got away with less than $1,000 if past Sundays are a good measure.
