A man, his girlfriend and her daughter were in the hospital Tuesday after police say an argument led to a stabbing in North Philadelphia.

Police say it happened around 12:30 a.m. inside a third floor apartment on the 2100 block of N 17th Street. Ricardo Brown, 42, got into a fight with his girlfriend Melissa Taylor, 45, according to investigators.

During the fight, Brown allegedly stabbed Taylor. Police say Brown stabbed Taylor’s daughter, 24-year-old Chavonda Lane, after she intervened. Police say Brown also suffered stab wounds during the scuffle.

Police arrived at the scene and arrested Brown. He was taken to Temple University Hospital along with Taylor and Lane. All three were listed in stable condition.

Police say charges against Brown are pending.
