Man’s roommate accused him of stealing beer, leading to bloody argument

A Northeast Philly man stabbed two people over an argument about stolen beer Sunday, police say.

David Gentner, 50, of Sanger Street, was arrested on charges of aggravated assault after his 33-year-old female roommate accused him of stealing beer, reports the Daily News

The argument escalated when the landlord of the two roommates became involved. The female roommate attempted to hit Gentner, who then retaliated by punching the woman, grabbing a knife, and cutting the back of the woman’s head and bicep, police say, according to the the Daily News.

Gentner then stabbed his landlord in the right arm, according to police.

The woman and the landlord were brought to Albert Einstein Medical for treatment.

In addition to the assault charges, Gentner was arrested on recklessly endangering another person and related charges, reports the Daily News.
