A 24-year-old Upper Darby resident was arrested on statutory sexual assault charges after he was stabbed by his 14-year-old pregnant girlfriend, police tell the Delaware County Daily Times.
The incident unfolded on the 7000 block of Clover Lane just before 4 p.m. Wednesday where police say the 14-year-old stabbed Justin Taylor for allegedly flirting with other girls, according to the Daily Times.
Taylor was treated for minor injuries at the scene. It was at that time police discovered the stabber was underage.
Taylor says he was under the impression that his girlfriend was 19 years old. His girlfriend, however, says she told him she was 15.
The paper reports that the 14-year-old was interviewed and told police she and Taylor have been having consensual sex for three months and that she is pregnant.
Justin Taylor couldn’t post bail and is detained pending his preliminary hearing.
The 14-year-old is charged with assault.
