Man Stabbed Outside South Philly Restaurant

A man is fighting for his life after he was stabbed outside a South Philadelphia restaurant.

The 40-year-old man was outside the Saigon Maxim restaurant on Washington Avenue and 6th Street Saturday afternoon when he was stabbed once in the chest.

The victim was taken to Jefferson University Hospital where he is currently in critical condition. He is now undergoing surgery, according to investigators. Police also told NBC10 the victim is not an employee of the restaurant.

No arrests have been made and police have not released a description of the suspect.
