A Chester County man was injured Monday night by a group of men inside his home.

    Chester County residents are reeling over a violent attack on an attorney at his home in Pennsbury. Three men attacked and shot the man, according to police. He is recovering in the hospital. (Published Tuesday, Sep 25, 2012)

    Police are looking for a group of men who burst into a Pennsbury Township home on Monday evening and injured the homeowner.

    Fred Barakat was shot and is in stable condition at Crozer-Chester Medical Center.

    According to investigators, three men, two wearing masks, entered the home along the 300 block of Hillendale Road just before 6:30 p.m.

    There was a stuggle and Barakat was shot. Police say this does not appear to be a random home invasion. They say it appears as though Barakat was targeted but they have not said why.

    Neighbors told NBC10 Barakat is a bankruptcy attorney in Pennsylvania and Delaware. He works from his home.

    They believe the man was targeted.

    One of the suspects is described as a white male, 6-feet tall with blond hair.

    The men were last seen fleeing the scene in a white or cream car.
