Man Shot in South Philly Bowling Alley

21-year-old man in stable condition

A man is in stable condition and three others are in custody after a shooting in a downtown bowling alley early Sunday morning.

A 21-year-old man was transported to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital after being shot several times at a private party at the PEP Bowl bowling alley at 1200 South Broad Street.

Police say that a group of five men tried to enter the party, but were denied at the door. At some point, a fight broke out between one of the men outside and someone in the party. Police then say that two men pulled out guns and started shooting into the party.

The victim fell wounded in one of the bowling lanes, at which point one of the shooters stood over him and shot him again.

The three men were arrested shortly after the incident in the 1400 block of Wharton Street, a block away from the bowling alley. No names or charges have been released.
