Officials are investigating whether two early morning shootings in the Oxford Circle section of the city are related to one another.
A 29-year-old man was shot twice on the 6200 block of Bustleton Avenue shortly after 4 a.m. The man was taken to Einstein Hospital where he is in critical condition.
Around the same time, only a few blocks away, investigators say a gunman inside a white Toyota Camry fired shots at several police officers on the 1500 block of Devereaux Avenue, before fleeing the scene.
No officers were hurt during the shooting.
Police say it’s unknown at this time whether the two shootings are connected. No arrests have been made. They continue to investigate.
