A man, shot several times inside his car in North Philadelphia, has died from his injuries.
The 24-year-old man was hit by gunfire around 2:30 a.m. on Friday sitting in driver's seat of his blue sedan along the 3700 block of Germantown Avenue in the Hunting Park section of the city, Philadelphia Police said.
He was shot several times in the torso with a large caliber gun, police said.
The unidentified man was rushed to Temple University Hospital and later pronounced dead.
Two other men who were inside the car, when it was riddled with bullets, were not hurt.
Police say the suspect was last seen heading towards Butler Street. They were wearing a dark-colored hoodie.
There are several businesses with security cameras along the street. Investigators will be reviewing the footage for clues.
