Man Shot 10 Times Outside Store

A man is dead after police say he was shot ten times by an unknown gunman in the Hunting Park section of the city.

Police say the man parked outside a convenience store on North 6th and West Bristol Street Tuesday afternoon.  Suddenly, police say, an unknown suspect shot at the car, striking him ten times in the torso, arms and head. The victim, who has not yet been identified, got out of the car and fell over. He was taken to Temple University Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 2:02 p.m.

Police have not yet revealed information on any suspects. A witness claims however that he spotted several gunmen flee in a black Sedan immediately after the shooting.

Police are also investigating a shooting in North Philadelphia. Police say a 25-year-old man was walking on the 1200 block of Williams Street shortly before 3 a.m. when he was approached by two masked men wearing hoodies. The men allegedly tried to rob the victim and then shot him twice in the face and once in the shoulder before fleeing the scene. He was taken to Temple University Hospital where he remains in critical condition.
