Man Sentenced to 10 to 32 Years in Brother-In-Law's Slaying

A man who pleaded guilty in the shooting death of his brother-in-law during a family party over the Labor Day weekend last year has been sentenced to 10 to 32 years in prison.

The Bucks County Courier Times reported that 64-year-old William Rivera of Bristol was sentenced Wednesday in Bucks County Court.

Rivera pleaded guilty earlier this year to third-degree murder and other charges in the August 2014 shooting death of 59-year-old George Rodriguez of Trenton, New Jersey.

Police said Rivera and Rodriguez were at a family party in Rivera's home on the holiday weekend and got into an argument, and the defendant then got a 12-gauge shotgun and shot the victim.
