Police are searching for a man who they say robbed a woman at a Philadelphia gas station.

It happened back on February 3 at 11:12 p.m. at the Hess Gas Station on 3300 Grays Ferry Avenue.

Police say a woman exited her vehicle and went to the teller window. As she walked back to her car, police say a man standing next to the vehicle approached her and pointed a handgun toward her. The man then allegedly tried to force the woman inside the vehicle.

The woman managed to escape and flee from the suspect, according to investigators. Police say the man took  the woman’s handbag and fled on foot through the parking lot towards 32nd Street.

The suspect is described as a dark-skinned, medium-built black male, around 20 years of age standing between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-8. He was last seen wearing a white wool cap with ear flaps and design on the top, a blue Old Navy zip up hooded sweatshirt and jeans. Police also say the suspect walked with a peculiar wobble as if there was an injury to his foot or leg.
