Man Reunites With Long-Lost Ring

A woman returns a ring to a former football star who lost it over 30 years ago.

It’s been years since Dan Kasperkoski of Wescosville, Pa. graced the gridiron as an all-state tackle for Easton Area High School.

While Dan always had the memories stored in the back of his mind, for over three decades he believed the one object symbolizing his High School football glory days was gone forever.

Dan lost his ring from Easton’s 1978 East Penn Conference championship team during a fishing trip in Georgia over 30 years ago. But thanks to one woman, Dan now has a valuable piece of his life back in his hands.

Eight years ago Linda Davis found the ring in her driveway in Georgia, according to the Express Times. The Times reports she put the ring away in her jewelry box and left it there until she came across it again last Spring while cleaning her home. She was able to locate Dan through facebook and reunite him with his long-lost treasure.

Dan has gone through some tough times since losing the ring. He suffered a career ending knee injury his first day of football practice at the University of Pittsburgh, according to the Times. He was also in a coma for two weeks after a car accident last year.

But in the case of the return of his ring, it seems a little bit of luck was finally on his side.

“It shows you never lose hope,” Dan told the Times. “Some things do come back to you.”
