Suspect Hurt in North Philly Police Shootout

One man hurt in exchange with officers

One man was hurt in a shootout between three suspects and Philadelphia Police.

Police were pursuing three home invasion suspects when the men fired upon officers along the 1700 block of N. Gratz Street just after 6 p.m. Wednesday, police confirmed.

Officers did return fire and one of the suspects was hit, though it is unclear if the injury was sustained at the hands of an officer's bullet, police said.

No officers were hurt in the shooting.

A second suspect was taken into custody, but a third is still on the loose.
