Man Hurt After Car Goes Airborne, Crashes Into 2nd Floor of Delaware Barn

A man suffered minor injuries after his car crashed into the second floor of a barn in Delaware Sunday night. 

The 27-year-old man was driving a Mitsubishi sedan around 6 p.m. in Hockessin. As he was driving he somehow lost control of his vehicle and struck a parked car in the driveway of a barn on the 1600 block of Old Wilmington Road.

The impact caused the vehicle to go airborne. The car then crashed into the second floor of the barn.

The driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Christiana Hospital. No one inside the barn was injured.

Police continue to investigate the accident.
