Man Hit, Killed by Train in Lower Merion Township

Police say a man was struck and killed by a train on Thanksgiving Day in Lower Merion Township.

Investigators say 68-year-old Frederick Washington was hit by a train on the tracks between the Merion and Overbrook train stations around 9:40 p.m. Washington died at the scene, according to authorities.

The incident remains under investigation by Lower Merion and Amtrak police.
