Man Shot, Dies in Minivan

The man was shot in the head and chest, according to police

The search is on for the person or persons responsible for shooting a man to death in the Cobbs Creek section of the city.

The victim, who was in his 50s, was sitting in his minivan on 63rd Street and Cobbs Creek Parkway around 1 a.m. when he was shot twice -- once in the head and once in the chest, according to investigators.

Police say the van crashed into a parked car following the shooting. Robbery is believed to be the motive but an official ruling wasn't made of of late in the afternoon.

So far, police have no suspects.
