Man Missing for a Week Dies in Crash

A northeastern Pennsylvania man has been found dead in his crashed pickup truck more than a week after he was last seen leaving a restaurant alone.

Luzerne County Deputy Coroner Dan Hughes says there will be no autopsy on the body of 34-year-old Kristopher Feist, whose body was spotted shortly before noon Sunday in a truck over an embankment on Route 11 in Union Township.

State police believed the Mocanaqua man was southbound on the highway when he crossed the highway's double-yellow lines and crashed over the hillside after hitting a guiderail.

He was last seen leaving Bankos Seafood near Nanticoke about 12:30 a.m. Aug. 12.

The deputy coroner says Hughes died of trauma from the crash.
