Man Found Dead Outside Popular NJ Bar

A 26-year-old man was found dead around 8:45 p.m. Thursday behind Taylorโ€™s Bar and Grill on Route 70 in Cherry Hill, according to Cherry Hill Police.

David Martinez of Berlin, N.J. went to Taylor's with several friends for a New Year's Eve celebration.

Martinez apparently left the club at 1:00 a.m. Thursday and was supposed to meet his friends at a nearby hotel where they had rented a room, police said.

When his friends could not find Martinez later in the day, they called his family, who in turn reported the disappearance to Cherry Hill Police.

Police began searching for him at the club, the last place he was believed to have been.

That's when they discovered his body submerged in a frozen-over decorative fountain outside the club. Police think Martinez may have tripped and fallen into the fountain.

An autopsy will be performed to find out how he died.
