A man shot and killed himself in the middle of the day on the street near the corner of 46th and Market Streets in Philadelphia on Thursday.
At about 11 a.m. the unidentified man crashed his car into a pole causing the vehicle to flip over, according to Philly police.
The man then caused a stir as a standoff insued with police as he sat near the crash with a gun.
He eventually shot himself in the head a little bit after noon, according to Philly cops.
He was taken to a local hospital where he was declared dead at 12:33 p.m.
