A man fell of the deck of a bar in Manayunk, into the Schuylkill River Thursday night, Philadelphia fire authorities say.
The man was on the deck of the Mad River Bar & Grille on the 4100 block of Main Street in Manayunk when he fell off and rolled down the embankment into the river at about 11:50 p.m.
He pulled himself out of the water and onto a dock, where he was rescued with ladders by the fire department, officials say.
The man suffered a broken ankle and bruised pride, fire authorities say.
He was brought to Albert Einstein Medical Center for treatment. His name has not been released.
