A man drowned while trying to save a 9-year-old boy from an icy northeastern Pennsylvania stream, firefighters said.
Scranton Fire Superintendent Pat DeSarno said a dive team recovered Robert Kehoe Jr.'s body from Roaring Brook at Nay Aug Park around 10 p.m. Sunday.
A hiker and two college students helped pull the boy to safety, said DeSarno.
Officials said the boy fell into the water as he walked with Kehoe and a younger boy around 4:30 p.m.
