Man Dies After Fall From Railroad Bridge

Authorities say an autopsy is scheduled Monday on the body of a man who died after plunging from a central Pennsylvania railroad bridge.

The (Lancaster) Intelligencer Journal/Lancaster New Era said officials identified the man as 49-year-old Scott Bronner.

His body was found Saturday afternoon partially in the water on a concrete abutment near the edge of the Conestoga River in the city of Lancaster.

Coroner Stephen Diamantoni said Sunday that witnesses on the river saw the man fall about 50 to 60 feet.

Diamantoni said it was the first death he could recall at the span also known as the Conestoga Creek Viaduct, which the paper said was constructed in 1887.
