Police say a father and his son are injured after they were hit by a van while walking in Center City Sunday.
The accident happened around 4:30 p.m. at 19th and Arch Street.
Police say the driver of the van ran a red light, slammed into a Philadelphia Police cruiser, and then hit a 38-year-old man and his 4-year-old son.
The man suffered a broken right leg and was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. The boy suffered back pains and was taken to Hahnemann Hospital. There is no word on their conditions at this time.
Police are investigating the accident.
