A man is fighting for his life after police say he was beaten with a pipe in Atlantic City on Monday.
It happened at 12:45 p.m. near Mansion and Arctic Avenues. Police say the unidentified man was assaulted and struck with the pipe during a confrontation with another man. The victim was taken to the hospital where he remains in critical condition. Police say he is not conscious enough to speak.
Police describe the suspect as a 5-foot-5 Hispanic man wearing a hat. Investigators say he fled the scene after assaulting the victim. Investigators also say the incident could be gang-related. Police continue to investigate.
