Woman Charged With Robbing Driver Stuck in Snow

Police arrested a South Jersey woman and charged with theft after she allegedly robbed a man whose car got stuck in the snow.

Bridgeton Police announced the arrest Tuesday of Andrea Dukes. The 36-year-old Bridgeton resident is accused of robbing a 40-year-old man after the man got stuck in snow as he tried to enter the parking lot of a local business along the 100 block of Irving Street Sunday morning.

The victim told The Press of Atlantic City that when he tried to free his vehicle, two men and a woman approached him and asked for money. When the victim told them he had nothing, he says the two males beat him until he was unconscious. The man said that when he came to his wallet and cellphone were missing.

Dukes and two unidentified men allegedly pushed the car then took the man's wallet containing $400 cash and his phone, according to police.

The victim said he received treatment for minor injuries he sustained during the attack.

Dukes was not charged with assault and police didn't mention the alleged attack in their report.
