Man Plays Sexual “Truth or Dare” With Kids: Police

A game of "Truth or Dare" turned scary for two girls this week, according to Delaware State Police.

Police say that on Tuesday, 33-year-old Shawn M. Burnett was babysitting his roommate's 13-year-old daughter and an 11-year-old neighbor when he allegedly gave them alcohol and muscle relaxers and sexually assaulted them.

The alleged sex assault happened at Burnett's home on the 700 block of Fords Corner Road in Hartly, DE during a game of "Truth or Dare," according to authorities.

The girls told their mothers on Thursday that Burnett took them into his bedroom and while playing the game, began to make sexual advances.

Burnett was kicked out of the house on Wednesday and found a short time later by police while he was driving. They were able to pull him over and arrest him.

He's facing multiple sex abuse charges and is being held at James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in lieu of $172,002 cash bond.

Burnett's also been ordered to have no contact with anyone under 18 years old.
