Man Arrested in Del. Bank Robberies

Seaford police arrested the 25-year-old inside a Chinese restaurant Monday.

Seaford police say a man connected with two bank robberies in four days has been arrested.

Police say 25-year-old Christopher Baker was arrested on Monday inside a restaurant after a robbery at an M&T Bank branch on Sussex Highway. Authorities say Baker entered the bank, demanded money from a teller and fled on a red bicycle in the direction of the Seaford Village Shopping Center.

Baker was arrested inside the Star East Chinese Buffet restaurant, where police say detectives also recovered a handgun and money.

Police say Baker is also suspected of robbing a Bank of Delmarva at gunpoint of Jan. 6.

Charges against Baker include three counts of robbery and four counts of possession of a firearm during a felony.

It is not known if he has an attorney.
