Police arrested a Camden man after he allegedly tried to hide a loaded handgun from officers.

Investigators say 20-year-old Jermaine Burnett was sitting inside an illegally parked car along Merrimac Road in Fairview. When officers approached the car they said Burnett got out of the vehicle and tried to hide a loaded .32 caliber gun in his waistband.

Burnett was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose. He is being held on bail $50,000 bail.
