Man Arrested After Police Chase

Police in Wilmington say a man is in custody after he drove through a red light and led police on a chase.

Police say they arrested 35-year-old Antonio Cottingham after officers saw Cottingham run through a red light early Thursday while driving a gray Mercury Sable. The officers tried to stop the vehicle but police say Cottingham drove away. He was eventually taken into custody in the 2900 block of North Madison Street where he lives.

Police say Cottingham is a convicted felon and drug offender and had outstanding warrants for his arrest.

Cottingham did not appear to have a current listed telephone number.
