Authorities say a central New Jersey man was arrested when he showed up for what he thought would be a sexual tryst with a 15-year-old girl.
Burlington County Prosecutor Robert Bernardi announced Tuesday that 52-year-old Reid Klauber of Bridgewater was charged attempted sexual assault and attempted luring. He was freed after posting $150,000 bail.
Bernardi said the "girl'' Klauber had been communicating with online was actually a detective in his office.
Klauber was arrested Feb. 11 when he showed up at a pre-determined location in Bordentown Township. Bernardi said Klauber had condoms, beer, wine, vodka, and $100 in cash in his vehicle when he was arrested.
It wasn't known Tuesday if Klauber had retained an attorney, and a telephone number for him could not be located.
